Where Have I Been?

According to my last post, I was pregnant with my first child and still living in our river cottage. So much has happened! We had Russell 3 years ago (this June) and we welcomed Miss Emory Leigh Cooler almost one year ago (May 24). We are in also in year 3 of our house and still working on things every day.

And, I'm still working at Callawassie Island and very thankful for my great job as Membership Director.

So, I'm going to start blogging again, but it's going to have a new twist. How about the working wife, mom, homemaker, chef, doctor, caregiver and fashion lover all combined in one? I love it!

RUSSELL YATES COOLER III

It's been awhile since I last posted but nonetheless, I'm posting now at over 26 weeks! It's amazing how slow the first trimester went and how fast this second one has gone by. I'm guessing the third might be slow too. Our little guy is now reaching the 2 pound mark and almost 15 inches long. It's also amazing to me how it takes 26 weeks for him to reach 2 pounds but by the time he arrives, he'll be around 7 or 8. Very neat!

And the best part is, we've finally decided on a name. After much, much discussion with Yates we decided on RUSSELL YATES COOLER III. We will call him Russell! I'm so glad I can now refer to him by his name rather than Baby Boy.

We should be moving in our house very soon and I cannot wait to decorate. It's a good thing I'm excited about it b/c not only do I have to decorate Russell's room but our entire house! Once we get in and get situated - I'll be sure to post pics.

Expanding Belly

Wahoo! Today I am 22 weeks and, boy, oh boy, my belly is growing! It's amazing how much it can expand in just one week. Our little boy has reached the 1 pound mark and is 11 inches in length (about the size of a spaghetti squash).

He has already received some very cute clothes from family and friends and will be a very stylish little boy. I cannot wait to dress him up! And I'm sure his daddy can't wait to take him fishing and hunting! :-)

21 weeks today!

I am 21 weeks pregnant today and couldn't feel better. Our little boy is growing at rapid paces and is currently between 10 & 11 ounces and 7 inches long (the length of a carrot). He is a very active little baby as I feel him move all the time and on a daily basis now. Baby Boy Cooler is sure to an athlete. :-) And no, we have not decided on a name yet. Yates and I haven't found anything that sounds like a perfect fit. Any suggestions???

We did get our nursery furniture a few weeks back and I love it (see photo)! I also got the nursery bedding and will post pics of that soon.
